ENGAGEMENT AND COMMITMENT OF MEMBERSHIP
MEDINAH MEMBERSHIP
More than 1,100 members and families call Medinah Country Club home. With seventeen membership categories, Medinah offers different levels of club privilege and experiences. Membership is non-equity and by invitation only.
Medinah Country Club is a private country club with a selective process of extending membership to persons of high moral character and good reputation who are financially responsible and compatible and desirable to our existing members. The Board of Directors and Membership Committee seek diversity and do not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, gender, religion, or disability in extending invitations for membership. We’re proud to have a membership with local, national and global reach.

ASSOCIATE LEGACY
Medinah Country Club's Associate Legacy membership program allows our members to continue their family legacy at the club by making country club membership an attainable lifestyle for their children and grandchildren. The Associate Legacy program offers attractive reduced membership fees, dues and minimums, while providing the Associate Legacy member with access to all the club facilities and events.
Medinah Country Club currently has 124 Associate Legacy members from 98 member families. Medinah also has numerous current Regular members that initially joined through the Associate Legacy program, further extending the number of family legacies at the club.
HERITAGE
Medinah Country Club’s Heritage membership category was created to retain and recognize our most senior and long-term members, offering them club privileges while eliminating monthly dues.
NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL
Medinah Country Club’s National and International membership categories were created to invite new members not otherwise inclined to join as Regular members due to their location to enjoy Medinah’s nationally and internationally recognized reputation.
A Tradition
of Philanthropy and Community
Medinah Country Club was founded in 1924 by a group of Shriners, who were members of the Chicago Medinah Temple. At the same time, these individuals and their fellow Shriners were building the first unit of what is now called the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children – Chicago. Since then, these hospitals have provided free medical treatment for children; as well as being involved in osteopathic and burn research, and in pioneering advanced techniques for the treatment of those conditions.
In 1967, a group of members of Medinah Country Club, who were also Shriners, formed the Country Shrine Club to promote the Shrine and to support the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children. The group started an annual charity golf event that not only benefited the Shriners’ Hospitals, but also provided donations to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center. To this day, Medinah Country Club hosts this special annual charity golf event.
It is estimated that since it’s beginning, Medinah Country Club has raised and donated a total of $2,500,000 to support the Shriners Hospital thanks to the generous support of Medinah Country Club’s members and guests.
